The 2015 46.60m Feadship KISS has been described as one of the best yachts available on the brokerage market today, while the 2019 42.8m go-anywhere yacht AUDACE is an explorer yacht that offers exceptional onboard facilities.

The 2007 43m Benetti BLUE VISION will be showing off the results of a full interior refit in Monaco, while the 2003 42m pedigree Feadship LADY CHARLOTTE is in impeccable condition, ready to cruise the world with a new owner. And, one of the latest members of our brokerage fleet SALVAJE, luxurious and fast world-cruising yacht from a renowned Alloy Yachts shipyard, will allow clients to view her for the very first time since she joined the brokerage market.

Top reasons to purchase your yacht with Edmiston before the summer

Top reasons to purchase your yacht with Edmiston before the summer

At Edmiston, we know how to get deals done, meaning you could buy a yacht and be on the water this season

Looking to buy a yacht for cruising this summer? While it may seem like an impossible ask, at Edmiston, thanks to our team of expert brokers who offer unrivalled knowledge of the market and benefit from an extensive global network, it’s still within the realms of possibility.

Here are five reasons why you should prioritise buying a yacht through us this season.

Because we sell yachts quicker than most

At Edmiston, we’re known for selling yachts, and our brokers don’t wait around, selling yachts at twice the speed of most – in 2021 the length of time it took to sell our yachts averaged 298 days from listing to completion, compared with an industry average of 604 days.

And of course, there are plenty of yachts that have sailed off our books much quicker than that, including HALO, the 57m Feadship that we sold in just 46 days, and CLICIA, the 42m Baglietto that sold in just 29 days.

To benefit from our unrivalled market insights

To sell yachts at this speed you need to know the market inside out, which our brokers do. A combination of years of experience, an unparalleled contacts base, and expert knowledge means that our brokers are the best placed in the business to guide our clients through purchases.

And, as our numerous off-market deals, such as the sales of MELEK and ROSEHEARTY prove, we do much more than just show our clients a list of available yachts. At Edmiston we consistently go above and beyond, finding the perfect fit for each client and making sure we get deals done.

Because we are specialists in lots of fields

At Edmiston, our expertise covers every aspect of yacht ownership; from the finest motor yachts and sailing yachts for global cruising to explorer vessels that will reach the most remote parts of the seas, and classic yachts for timeless experiences. We also have a remarkable new construction track record of some of the most notable and impressive yachts afloat today.

Our multinational team is very diverse, and speaks lots of languages between them, taking the stress out of negotiating with clients, builders, and yards across the world.

For our 360-approach

As we’ve proved time again, at Edmiston, we’re not just here for the short haul but are here to support our clients throughout the life cycle of their yacht. Whether you are looking to refit a yacht, undertake a custom build or prepare a yacht for charter, we’ll be with you every step of the way.

We helped the Owners of DEJA TOO and ARBEMA 50 upgrade to bigger yachts, we managed the build process from the very beginning through to delivery and now their entry into the charter market for both RESILIENCE and NORTHERN ESCAPE.

For access to the best yachts for sale

Among the yachts currently for sale through Edmiston is the classic 55.50m Feadship ILLUSION I, offered in pristine condition, plus five more Feadships: AZTECALADY CHARLOTTEMONACOLADY VICTORIAATALANTA J.

Fresh from 2022 refits, ARBEMA 50m and BLUE VISION are two proven and well respected charter yachts that could be yours by the summer.

Meanwhile, if you’re looking for a go-anywhere, right now, yacht, then look no further than the newly extended explorer yacht FAR FAR AWAY.

With summer on the horizon, isn’t it time you asked Edmiston to find your next yacht? Contact us now.

Edmiston

Edmiston welcomes new yachts to its brokerage books

Edmiston’s brokerage offering has been boosted by the recent introduction to our fleet of some stunning yachts that really play to our strengths.

The 57.50m sailing yacht TWIZZLE from the pedigree Dutch shipyard Royal Huisman and the 46.6m motor yacht KISS from Feadship both represent the best of the best on the brokerage market today combining the top of design, condition and pedigree.

Our brokers have high hopes for the multi-award-winning yacht TWIZZLE, which continues to wow with her combination of contemporary interiors and gorgeous form on the water. She exhibits a strong connection to the sea throughout, with all the credentials of a genuine pedigree cruiser.

Edmiston has good form when it comes to selling pedigree yachts of this calibre, having sold three world cruising sailing yachts over the past 12 months: ZENJI, ROSEHEARTY, and MELEK. In fact, Edmiston has been involved in 50% of the sales of pedigree sailing yachts from 50m-80m since 2020 and is hoping to build on this impressive sales success in this sector.

We are also well matched for the 46.60m Feadship KISS, which is offered in pristine condition and somehow manages to fit six cabins – including a showstopping private Owner’s deck – into a very sleek sub-50m design.

KISS represents a rare opportunity to buy a Feadship of this size, and Edmiston continues to prove itself as the foremost Feadship broker in the industry, having sold four Feadships in the past year, including HALO, MOONSAND, and FULL MOON.

Other new yachts to join the Edmiston sales fleet include the 42m Feadship LADY CHARLOTTE, whose 2020 refit has left her looking and feeling like a bigger and younger yacht; the 38m Admiral yacht SAFE HAVEN, which is currently undergoing a $2.6 million refit; the 43.60m Benetti BLUE VISION, which has been impeccably maintained; the 59.10m immaculate Oceanco yacht HELIOS; the CRN yacht HANA from the yard’s popular 43m series; and the classic beauty that is the 33.60m 1955 Abeking & Rasmussen yacht SANS SOUCI.

Edmiston announces a stellar line-up for the Monaco Yacht Show 2022

With the Monaco Yacht Show on the horizon, Edmiston prepares to bring its fleet of superyachts

The 2022 Monaco Yacht Show will take place from 28 September to 1 October in Port Hercules, and with one of its best line-ups yet.

The Monaco Yacht Show is one of the highlights of the yachting calendar and with a focus on attracting a new generation of yacht owners, plus continued commitment to appeal to existing clients, we’re looking forward to making deals with some of the most serious buyers in the world.

Among the yachts heading to Monaco with us is KISS, a pedigree Feadship, which comes with a dedicated Owner’s deck – seriously impressive for a sub-50m yacht – which is in immaculate condition.

Joining her on the quayside will be TWIZZLE, a sleek bluewater cruiser with award-winning design from the legendary Dutch shipyard Royal Huisman.

A recent addition to Edmiston fleet, Tankoa’s 72m flagship SOLO is also preparing to wow the crowds with her statement Francesco Paszkowski lines, generous volume, and peerless performance.

Following a full refit in 2020, the 42m 2003 Feadship LADY CHARLOTTE will no doubt surprise visitors by how much bigger and younger she feels.

Also showing off her new look will be the 59m 2001 Oceanco yacht HELIOS, which comes with a remodelled sun deck that will have visitors dreaming of their next sunshine cruise.

In terms of innovation, the high-performance 2013 Perini Navi STATE OF GRACE is driven by state-of-the-art engineering that will leave those that look upon her breathless and offers huge potential for anyone wishing to enter the charter market.

For anyone looking to get on the water soon, the 50m 2008 Ortona Navi yacht, ARBEMA, which comes with a huge volume of nearly 600GT – her beam is more than nine metres – is turnkey ready.

Clients should also book an appointment to view GIALOA LU. The 47m yacht from Bilgin Yachts comes with both a full-beam main deck owner’s suite and a large VIP, plus a beach club and glass-fronted spa pool.

And finally, the 48m Feadship GITANA, which returned to market earlier this year following a multi-million-euro six-month refit, offers a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to buy a classic Feadship with contemporary flair and style.

All the yachts we are taking to Monaco this year will benefit from exceptional quayside presence and the expertise of our brokers whose knowledge of the industry is second to none.

As usual, The Edmiston Pavilion, within the Monaco Yacht Club, will be the place to head for VIP treatment, with Edmiston clients welcome to make use of our luxury tenders and chauffeured cars.

Get the Edmiston VIP experience at the 2022 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

Make use of our luxury tenders and cars and meet the brokers to discuss your yachting needs

Edmiston will be at the 2022 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, from 26 – 30 October, offering VIP services and expert advice to all our clients.

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is the largest in-water boat show in the world. Situated just feet away from the beach in sunny South Florida, the five-day show, is beautifully located for those looking to view some of the best yachts in the world in a sunshine destination.

This year, the 48m Feadship GITANA will be on diplay with Edmiston and available to view. Looking in the prime of her life following the recent completion of a multi-million-euro refit at the Feadship De Vries shipyard in the Netherlands, GITANA has only ever been used privately and comes with stunning onboard features.

With Fort Lauderdale considered the ‘yachting capital of the world’, the annual yacht show attracts large numbers of yacht owners each year. Last year’s show had over 100,000 visitors, with more than 1,300 boats on display and a total of 1,000 exhibitors, and this year’s show hopes to build on that success.

Boats on display range from dayboats to superyachts, and there are plenty of water toys spread across the vast 3,000,000 sq ft of exhibition space, too.

Edmiston will be in attendance, with a VIP villa in Las Olas Riviera Isles offering a welcome area for clients and direct access to the show via one of our two VIP tenders or our luxury Land Rover car service.

It’s a great opportunity to step aboard some of the most luxurious yachts available to charter and buy, to meet some of the world’s most renowned yacht builders, and to discuss your next yachting project.

Edmiston yachts at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2022

Edmiston yachts at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2022

Both Aslan and Lady Charlotte will be at the Cannes Yachting Festival, which opens in just a few days

Since launching in 1977, the Cannes Yachting Festival has been one of the most anticipated events in the French Riviera’s calendar.

This year is no different, and this year’s show, from 6-11 September, will feature a stunning selection of yachts, including two additions from Edmiston.

Edmiston is delighted to be bringing the 29m Benetti SpA yacht ASLAN to the show, which will be on display in Port Pierre Canto – visitors will easily be able to pick her out thanks to her striking dark-blue hull. ASLAN is being sold in turnkey condition, and with her charter-friendly five-cabin layout and serene, uncluttered decks, she looks set to impress.

Edmiston is also proud to be representing the 42m 2003 pedigree Feadship LADY CHARLOTTE at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival. LADY CHARLOTTE, which will be at anchor, will be showing off the results of her multi-million Euro refit in 2020, which has left her looking and feeling like a much younger and bigger yacht.

The 2021 Cannes Yachting Festival achieved the same visitor numbers as the pre-pandemic show in 2019 and saw 620 boats exhibit across the Vieux Port and the Port Piere Canto, and hopes are high that this year’s show will build on that success.

Both ASLAN and LADY CHARLOTTE are available to view at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival. If you would like to make an appointment to view either yacht, get in touch with your Edmiston broker.

How to sell your yacht in 2022

How to sell your yacht in 2022

Communication is key, and no one is better placed to know that than our brokerage team

If you are looking to sell your yacht this year, then both in-depth knowledge of the current market and the privileged client demographic are essential.

There is no point offering your beautiful yacht for sale if the right people don’t see it. A big purchase such as a superyacht requires a good deal of trust on behalf of the buyer and this trust is often built up over a long time between them and their industry contacts.

Here is our advice to selling your yacht this year.

Use a broker

It may seem obvious, but good yacht brokers really do have a deeper understanding of the market than anyone else and will be able to add value. Our brokers spend years, poring over yachts and sales figures to build and maintain an expert view. Our brokers work very closely together, know what yachts sell and to whom, and spend years nurturing relationships with ultra-high-net-worth clients to ensure their contacts base is second to none.

At Edmiston, our brokers are the best in the business, and we have the stats to back up this bold statement. In 2021 we held a 50% market share in yachts sold over 70m and our brokers sold yachts at twice the average industry speed – selling yachts in an average of 298 days compared with the global average of 604 days. You see, at Edmiston, we don’t just list yachts, we sell them.

Set the right price

While you may think you know how much your yacht is worth, the industry may not always agree.

Understanding and establishing a fair market price, based on the prevailing market dynamics as well as the condition and pedigree of your yacht, will attract higher interest.

Make marketing a priority

Never underestimate the power of marketing. At Edmiston we use effective and highly targeted direct client marketing and broker-to-broker marketing to get deals done.

Our 360-degree communications tools, which build upon the strong visibility of our brand persona, include consumer print marketing, such as our highly respected Edmiston Intelligence publication, alongside bespoke literature and curated yacht brochures.

We also run stand-out customised digital marketing campaigns to a qualified audience, be they prospective buyers, or our network of industry brokers. We also promote yachts through our website, and we use social media to enhance engagement.

Ensure you have good photography

By commissioning beautiful photography and film, you can communicate the experience that the new owner and their guests will be able to enjoy on your yacht.

We have relationships with the best art directors, photographers, and videographers, so if your yacht requires an updated photo or film shoot, we will happily obtain a quote on your behalf.

In addition, PR initiatives with customised content help generate editorial coverage for newsworthy stories and we utilise online business-to-business search facilities such as Yachtco to help us reach a larger audience.

Be the best in show

Where better to showcase your yacht than at one of the best shows or events in the yachting world?

It’s worth the investment in exhibiting at Cannes, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or Monaco to ensure your yacht is more visible than competitors. Edmiston has a strong presence at these shows, plus many more VIP yachting events, and can help arrange quotes.

Consider your location

And finally, boat shows aside, it’s important that you keep your yacht somewhere accessible to people who want to come and view it, which may mean changing berths while you look for a buyer.
