About Scott

Having lived on a Pacific Island before joining the Royal Navy at the age of 16, there are few places Scott has not visited.

He joined the yachting industry as chief engineer at the Devonport yard in 2003, before becoming Owner’s technical representative for a 131m new-build project in 2008. In 2013, Scott joined Edmiston to oversee the restoration of MALAHNE and he remains operational technical manager for both MALAHNE and HAIDA, which he also oversaw the rebuild of.

Scott hopes to see caps on the size of yachts going forward, so they don’t outgrow the ports designed for them and show some environmental consideration.
