Phillip has worked in yacht brokerage for over 13 years, following a career that combined technical education, commercial strategy and offshore sailing. He holds an engineering degree and PhD, and began his professional career in strategy consulting, advising investment banks and private equity firms on telecoms and technology transactions. He later moved into a senior role within a Hong Kong-backed telecommunications business, overseeing strategy and finance. Alongside his corporate career, Phillip maintained a strong connection to the sea, completing over 30,000 nautical miles of offshore sailing, including crossings of the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans. This experience provides a detailed, practical understanding of cruising grounds, passage planning and life on board. Since moving fully into the superyacht sector, he has arranged a wide range of charters across global destinations, from short escapes to multi-week itineraries, with a consistent focus on depth of experience rather than volume.
