Advocating for CHANGE, one INITIATIVE at a time.

Founded in 2019, the Edmiston Foundation was conceived with one objective: to advocate for change. To achieve this, the foundation seeks to address the lack of diversity and inclusivity within the yachting industry by creating opportunities for underrepresented groups, and by safeguarding the future of our oceans through effective grassroots programmes that make a real difference.

In order to achieve our ambitious goals, Edmiston has partnered with the UKSA and the Conservation Collective, where we provide critical funding and support in our mission to make a real difference within the maritime industry.

To support these initiatives and the Edmiston Foundation, please get in touch with the team today.

The Edmiston FOUNDATION

& UKSA.

The United Kingdom Sailing Academy – UKSA was established to provide opportunities for young people to broaden their horizons through life enhancing water-based adventures, education and training for careers at sea. Their foundation removes financial and social barriers by providing funding so that everyone from all walks of life can access their programmes.

The UKSA is aligned with our passion and commitment to drive diversity in the maritime sector. To make a donation, visit UKSA today.

UKSA Funds & Programmes.

Sea.Change is UKSA’s funding initiative, designed to ensure cost is never a barrier to opportunity. Through this programme, fully funded places are made available on courses such as the Maritime Futures Programme, a five-day residential experience for 14–17-year-olds. Combining water-based activities with hands-on learning, it builds confidence, resilience and employability skills while introducing participants to careers across the maritime sector.

CONSERVATION COLLECTIVE initiatives.

The Edmiston Foundation supports the Cyclades Preservation Fund to expand coordinated wildlife rescue across the Aegean. Through the Aegean Care for Wildlife programme, local authorities, NGOs and communities are trained in first response and rehabilitation for species including monk seals, dolphins and turtles. The initiative strengthens rapid intervention, improves survival rates and builds long-term environmental stewardship across the region.

When Edmiston heard about the crucial work being carried out by the Conservation Collective, a network of environmental foundations across the world set up to restore our world to its natural state, we knew we had to get involved.
