As part of our partnership with the UKSA, we provide critical funding that helps remove financial barriers, providing access to advanced training courses at no cost to individuals. It is our aim to support our industry through these initiatives, creating a highly skilled workforce within the maritime sector, with the skills and training individuals need to ensure a successful and meaningful career at sea.

The most recent cohort of students have complemented their six-month intensive programme, which has led them to achieve an RYA commercially endorsed Yacht Master Offshore qualification — and gain a range of practical skills and theoretical knowledge to prepare them for the next steps in their career.

This year, we were particularly impressed with Lewis Walmsley, Cameron Ballyn, Antonine Michel and Harry Martin, all of whom worked incredibly hard to complete the course and we look forward to seeing where their careers take them.

“The training and support I received from UKSA has been invaluable in preparing me for a career in the yachting industry. The comprehensive curriculum, hands-on experience, and expert guidance have equipped me with the necessary skills, qualifications, and confidence to excel on a yacht. From the school’s supportive environment to the guidance from experienced instructors, I couldn’t have asked for a better foundation to start my career and be set up for success in this exciting and challenging field.” Lewis Walmsley.
