A feat of innovation, craft, and luxury: Venture into the minds behind H3
Every so often, something truly remarkable emerges. A project that challenges the very way we think of yacht design and construction. H3 represents the possibilities of imagination in action, on the grandest of scales. She is bold. She is innovative. And she is unlike anything we have ever seen before.
The ambitious 105 metre project was undertaken by pedigree shipyard Oceanco and was delivered in 2024 following a five-year build. She is one of the most meaningful recent deliveries to come out of the Netherlands, excelling in all aesthetic and technical elements, with recent recognition at the World Superyacht Awards.
Reymond Langton Design were commissioned to complete the interior and exterior design of H3, creating a work of art that brings new meaning to the luxury yachting experience. Explore the depths of their imagination and innovation in this floating palace.
The beginnings: A blank canvas
Reymond Langton Design are regarded as the best in the industry, celebrated for their unique ability to create bespoke masterpieces, unmatched in quality and sophistication. The owner had very clear guiding principles; beauty, shape, form, magic, and something that has never been done before.
Ambiguous, but clear. The studio created a series of sketches and presented these to the owner. These were all it took for the owners to realise Reymond Langton Design were the only ones capable of bringing this dream to life.
When sitting down with Pascale Reymond — of Reymond Langton Design —the passion behind H3 radiates from within her. This is not simply a project she has undertaken. It’s much more than that. It’s the owner’s vision and dream. Something that requires the highest level of consideration and care. With a blank canvas and complete faith and trust, they were given the opportunity to create a home on water, one that merges machine with grace.
The art: Exterior & interior design
In the simplest sense, H3 is like a moving sculpture, floating on water. As you explore every corner of the vessel, the sculpture carries on. “There is no break of contrast between the outside and inside. It’s a continuous flow, coherent across all levels,” says Pascale.
“On the exterior, straight lines soften into flowing curves, warm grey and white tones envelop the hull and sculptured superstructure, while the intricate exterior lighting accentuates the automotive-inspired forms, ensuring that the profile is instantly recognisable both during the day and after sunset.” – Reymond Langton Design.
Inside, she exudes a serene and calming atmosphere, with a grand sense of space. A soft and light colour palette with earthy tones is featured throughout. Geometric patterns adorn the flooring with vertical and horizontal detailing across her walls and ceilings, creating a harmonious balance of shapes. Light features illuminate every corner of her interior and floor-to-ceiling windows draw the surrounding environment in, taking you right to the water’s edge, creating a deep connection and experience with the sea.
The attention to craft and detail is unmatched with every design choice emulating a piece of art. “We are not just architects, we are artists,” says Pascale. The fabric in the guest bedrooms were designed by Pascale’s team and then commissioned by Celine Alexandre, a haute couture clothing designer from Paris with a portfolio including Chanel and Dior garments. Metal fabric that adorns the walls were woven by Sophie Mallebranche, offering stunning reflections and depth that brings the walls to life as they shift and change colour throughout the day.
Life onboard: A world of luxurious amenities
Every inch of space is served with distinct purpose, designed to cater to every desire thinkable during time at sea. Accommodation is exceptional, allowing up to 20 guests to stay across 10 generously sized cabins. The forward-facing Owner’s suite features his and hers ensuites, walk-in wardrobes and a lounge area offering a luxurious retreat. The upper deck VIP suite boasts its own private lounge and deck, providing guests with the ultimate comfort and privacy. Additional guest accommodation includes five doubles and three twins.
Her impressive range of amenities goes beyond the luxurious cabins. The yacht features spacious living areas on the bridge, owner’s deck, and main deck, perfect for sunbathing, alfresco dining, and entertaining. The outdoor experience is further elevated by a concealable pool and a touch-and-go helipad, rated for an H155. Additionally, the state-of-the-art beach club and fold-down swim platform provide effortless access to the sea, ensuring a seamless connection to the water — a common theme throughout her design.
H3 offers a dedicated wellness area that includes a hair and beauty salon, a massage room that also serves as a hospital, and a luxurious hammam. The forward-facing sundeck gym provides an energising space for workouts, allowing guests to keep up with their fitness routines while at sea.
Comfort is prioritised both at anchor and when underway through the use of Quantum zero speed stabilisers, and her exhaustive list of amenities allow for extended stays onboard. With a range of 6,000nm, she is a true globetrotter.
