The eminent racing superyacht OUTLAW has been restored and lovingly maintained by her owner of 37 years and is now looking for a new custodian.
OUTLAW is famous for her offshore racing prowess, including winning the 1963 Admiral’s Cup, the 2020 Classic Prada Challenge and the 2005 Panerai Trophy—and she’s in better condition than at any time since her 1963 launch.
This 14.8-metre classic sailing yacht was discovered in an abandoned state in East Cowes by the future OUTLAW yacht owner. She’s been restored to her former glory over multiple bouts of serious maintenance.
In 1985 she underwent her first major refit, and in 1995 her rig was renewed. In 2017, her hull was taken back to bare wood, a Jotun epoxy paint system applied below the waterline, and parts of the beam shelf were repaired. Finally, in 2019, woodwork was carried out forward to her stem and bulwarks.
The OUTLAW classic yacht has been constantly maintained in good and original condition, featuring updated equipment. Having spent the last 30 years on the Med regatta circuit, she’s a successful and well-known yacht that could be transformed into a fine cruising vessel with just a relatively small investment.
It’s possible to accommodate crew on the OUTLAW yacht, which makes her an economical option for regatta racing. Up to eight guests can sleep on board, with a double and single bunk in the owner’s cabin and three deep-sea bunks and two settee bunks in the salon.
The layout of the OUTLAW sailing yacht is excellent for racing or cruising. Her interior is surprisingly spacious and comfortable.
