2021 off to a good start, the Edmiston brokerage team reports

With solid yacht sales and a positive outlook, Edmiston hopes to build on last year’s successes in 2021.

It’s only a few weeks into the new year and already things are looking positive from a sales point of view at Edmiston.

So far in 2021, Edmiston has sold six yachts: the Moonen explorer yacht MRS B, the CNB catamaran SURFRIDER, the stunning 52m Benetti yacht TOMMY, the bespoke Sanlorenzo TAKARA, the explorer yacht NARVALO, sold in under three months, and ANDREAS L, one of the best examples of Benetti’s popular 60-metre Series on the market.

We have also taken on three new yachts for sale since 1 January 2021: the cutting-edge Perini Navi sailing sloop STATE OF GRACE, the go-anywhere vintage yacht ITASCA and the nippy 35.20m motor yacht FREEDOM, which is showing off the results of a 2019 €1m refit.

The strong start to the year builds on a good overall year for the company in 2020, despite the industry being thrown into chaos by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Despite an expected dip in sales and charters during the first lockdown in 2020, things soon picked up and Edmiston ended the year having sold 23 yachts in the 30m+ category, which constituted 32% of our Central Agency fleet for 2020.

One of the largest motor yacht sales of 2020 was LEANDER G, the English country house-style yacht, which once hosted members of the Royal Family on yachting holidays, while the 60m Perini Navi high-performance yacht PERSEUS 3 was one of the largest sailing yachts sold last year and both yachts were sold though in-house deals.

All of which goes to prove that at Edmiston we don’t just list yachts, we sell them.
