Originally built in 1938 by Thornycroft & Company, charter yacht SHEMARA was requisitioned by the Navy during the World War II and served as an A/S vessel and later as a training vessel. Thanks to a major refit in 2014, this rebuilt and restored yacht now boasts a mix of contemporary interior while retaining many of her stunning and historic original features. As much of her original steel and teak as possible that could be retained has been, while updating everything that needed to be done. Not merely brought back to life, 64.7-metre SHEMARA has been so improved that she is now in her finest condition ever.
What makes this classic yacht special is the sense of relaxation she exudes, while offering a variety of spacious external and internal living areas, including modern touches like a Jacuzzi and an outdoor massage area.
Beyond the newly updated interior appointments, SHEMARA also boasts updated equipment and technology, such as a new Rolls-Royce diesel-electric drive train paired with twin azimuthing pods. She cruises at a comfortable speed of 11 knots.
A grand staircase links SHEMARA’s four decks. Her 12 guests are accommodated in six cabins, including a large VIP on the lower deck and the owner’s suite set forward on the upper deck, offering high comfort and wonderful views.
