71.10m 233 ft | 1929 / 2018 | 12 Guests | 7 Cabins | 18 Crew
Built in 1929, this clipper-bow yacht was fully refitted and restored at the renowned Pendennis shipyard, only returning to the water in January 2018. Retaining all of her original majesty, HAIDA now enjoys every facet of modern superyacht luxury and represents the only opportunity to charter an original classic of over 70metres.
So much of the yacht’s immeasurable appeal is about her aura of elegance. From artworks to furniture, period pieces from the 20s and 30s have been sought, found and included.
A master suite of considerable largesse has the benefit of a private lounge and shaded dining terrace. Guest cabins are all beautifully appointed, with a wonderfully opulent and nautical dining room that gently curves to follow the yacht’s lines.
This focus on the charm and atmosphere of classic yacht style has been meticulously integrated with contemporary comforts. Cinemas are found in the Owner's lounge, library and on the Owner’s exterior deck, while outside the refit has created a spectacular sun deck with a stepped pool and a barbecue dining area set forward of the imposing funnel.
A spa, gym equipment, and hammam are all part of the modern superyacht story, however, the fabulous barber’s shop is less expected, adding to the sense that you are on board something very special.
Finally, the engine room of a yacht might not ordinarily be a place to visit, but seeing HAIDA’s gleaming and wholly original copper-plated behemoths is akin to visiting a museum.
Over the years, HAIDA has sailed through a succession of adventures and is now ready to start her next chapter as one of the world’s foremost classic yachts. Fashion may be temporary, but style is timeless.
