Robert Halperin
Client Advisor
Speaks
Robert joins Edmiston following a career in ultra-prime real estate, where he most recently worked alongside the President of Compass and one of New York City’s leading brokers. Specialising in advising ultra-high-net-worth individuals on high-profile transactions across Manhattan and Brooklyn, he developed a strong foundation in relationship management, negotiation, discretion and highly personalised client service.
His move into yachting was a natural progression. Over several years, Robert worked informally with Edmiston’s Matthew Gant and Charlie Carveles, introducing and advising clients while gaining firsthand exposure to the superyacht brokerage world. A prolific traveller, he has spent as many as 250 days a year exploring many of the world’s most sought-after destinations, developing an extensive knowledge of luxury travel, hospitality and the experiences that surround yacht ownership.
Beyond his professional career, Robert founded Puerto Rico’s largest community of high-end watch collectors, hosting regular events that brought together many of the island’s leading collectors and business owners. In 2020, he was appointed to the Academy of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), widely regarded as the Oscars of the watch industry. At the time, he was the Academy’s youngest member.
Born in Manhattan and raised in Westchester, Robert attended Rye Country Day School and New York University, including a year studying in Shanghai. An avid skier, he spends the winter season in Aspen, where he is closely integrated into one of the world’s leading luxury mountain communities.
His longstanding interest in exceptional assets, global travel and trusted client advisory ultimately drew him to the world of superyachts, where he brings a relationship-led approach and a deep understanding of the lifestyle and expectations of Edmiston’s clients.
