Experience in the Superyacht Industry

Leif spent 16 years working as yacht crew, travelling extensively across the world’s major cruising grounds. This experience gave him a comprehensive understanding of yacht operations, guest expectations and the practical considerations that define a successful charter. During this time, he worked on several Edmiston-managed yachts, developing familiarity with the company before moving into brokerage. Prior to his time at sea, he worked in hospitality across Europe, building a service-oriented approach that continues to inform his work today. Since joining Edmiston in 2022, he has applied this background to charter brokerage, supporting clients across a range of itineraries and yacht types.

Leif takes a practical and experience-led approach to charter brokerage, shaped by his years on board. He focuses on how a yacht will function for guests in reality, from layout and flow through to crew dynamics and onboard atmosphere. His approach is centred on aligning the yacht and itinerary with the client’s expectations, ensuring that each charter is not only well planned but also comfortable and intuitive once on board.
