Best yachts for the party set

The 46m custom yacht AUDACE (€26m) from Cantiere Delle Marche also joined our brokerage fleet in September, together with the 50m Perini Navi sailing yacht SILENCIO (€13.5m VAT paid), the 54m carbon sloop PINK GIN VI from Baltic Yachts (€29.5m VAT paid), and the 30.5m Wally sailing yacht INDIO (€7.5m VAT paid).

For an after-party that everyone will want an invite to try SUNRAYS, the Oceanco yacht that comes with a Jacuzzi on the sun deck, a music deck, and a main deck pool.

For something more intimate, the 48.3m Rossinavi-built motor yacht PARILLION is dripping with style, from the Swarovski spiral staircase by Crystal Caviar to the 3.5m swimming pool with its own waterfall.

Best yachts for wellness charters

If you want to return from holiday with a Med glow, then a wellness charter is the way to go.

At the spa onboard LADY S yacht, many of the marine-based products that aim to bring the goodness of the sea to the skin, are made especially for the yacht. There are a range of therapies, including the ‘Satin Shimmer’, which combines salt crystal exfoliation and enriching massage, and there is also a fully equipped gym for full-body workouts.

Available from France or Monaco this season, NORTHERN ESCAPE has one of the most heavenly beach club terraces of any yacht on the charter market, which includes a large infinity pool and fold-down platforms to ensure vitamin sea is never far away. There’s also a wellness room with massage table, for when you want to drift right off.

Meanwhile, the 65.70m Amels yacht VENTUM MARIS has all the ingredients for a stress-free wellness charter, including a Jacuzzi and contra-flow pool, a gym, a steam room, and a beach club.

Best yachts for eco-warriors

Eco-friendly yachting may seem like an oxymoron, but lots of good work, such as that undertaken by the Conservation Collective is currently underway to make yachting greener and protect marine environments for future generations.

If you want a conscience-clear Med charter, then SAVANNAH, Feadship’s first-ever hybrid yacht, offers quiet electric-diesel performance allied to an efficient hull design for a sublime eco-friendly experience, while still providing showstopping amenities.

For the level of luxury expected of a motor yacht, but with the eco-credentials of a sailing yacht, try AQUIJO, a high-performance ketch that nevertheless finds space for an ocean-view Jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room in its beach club, plus three outdoor bars.

Best yachts for laid-back style

If being showy isn’t your thing, then there are plenty of Med yachts with more understated style.

ALEGRIA II, a punchy 28.18m Ferretti yacht looks like it was made for sunshine Med charters. By day, take breaks from the action on the sun deck’s huge daybeds, and come evening chill out in the bar/grill area as the sun drops over the horizon.

Meanwhile, a minimalist layout and subdued palette of silvers, greys and creams gives SEVERIN*S, the 55m custom-built Baglietto, a more modest look than most, but don’t be fooled: with a 160 square metre sun deck, including a pool and bar, and a double access beach club, it has all the amenities you could dream of for a luxurious Med charter.

During a 2021/2022 refit, DXB‘s interiors were entirely redone giving her a relaxing and refreshing new look. Light tones combined with subtle touches of colour whether inside or on deck create a casual vibe.

Entering the charter market in brand-new condition, the 49.80m Heesen yacht ELA has bright, modern interiors by Cristiano Gatto and a chilled-out vibe throughout. Drink cocktails as you laze on one of the beach-club loungers or stretch out on one of the huge beds facing the screen at the fore deck cinema.

If you’re looking for a sailing yacht with laid-back style, then try CROSSBOW, which comes with a panoramic deck saloon that guests find hard to leave.

Best yachts for foodies

Food and travel go together like wine and cheese – each complementing the other.

This is never truer than on a yacht charter, when your private chef is inspired by the ingredients and flavours of the places you visit, to create tantalising dishes that enhance your experience.

On MALAHNE, old-world glamour meets food heaven, thanks to chef Emily Sansom, who stays on top of food trends and engages with guests to find out about their food loves to ensure her dishes are both healthy and delicious.

On SILVER FOX, one of chef James Fox’s specialisms is French cuisine, so you know you’re in for a treat – think wild garlic soup with crispy frogs’ legs and slow cooked poached egg – as you dine on the upper deck terrace beneath cloudless skies.

How about a food charter with your own Michelin-starred chef? On LADY BRITT yacht, chef Phil Storey, who held his for six years, is an expert in creating clean, flavourful dishes using the best seasonal ingredients, which can be enjoyed round the dining table on the huge upper deck aft terrace.

BINA’s chef, Belgium-born Joost Dierickx, trained in some of Europe’s finest restaurants before becoming a yacht chef, cooking for royalty and celebrities. Typical dishes range from sushi of seared veal to grilled octopus or shrimp tempura, which all sound good to us.

Best yachts for families

A charter holiday in the Med is a great way to spend quality time together, with board games and picnics on the beach, film nights on board and no end of water sports to keep the whole family entertained.

GRACE yacht is new to the charter market and has flexible accommodation suited to guests with children, a cinema room, and a large list of toys.

With an elevator accessing all decks, EMERALD yacht is great for multigenerational holidays, while younger family members will love the huge list of water toys, which includes a trampoline and inflatables.

The epitome of modern sailing yacht cool, ROX STAR offers excellent performance, safety and entertainment, and with numerous indoor and outdoors lounging areas, she is an excellent choice for family gatherings.

Following a major refit in 2020, the flexible accommodation aboard MYSTIC yacht makes it ideal for families – there’s even a bonus baby bed in the Master suite’s office – while the water slide will appeal to kids young and old.

On MARIU yacht, older children (12-16) can be awarded temporary licenses to drive jet-skis and wave runners on a Greek charter (as long as they are accompanied by an adult). You may even want to combine your holiday with a little ecology homework, by teaching your children about some of the important work being undertaken in the region by the Conservation Collective, an organisation supported by Edmiston that aims to protect our marine environment.

Best yachts for explorers

If you’re keen to get to know your chosen destination better, then look for a yacht with water toys and tenders that will allow you to explore a little deeper.

LADY JORGIA, the palatial 74m five-deck yacht from CRN-Ancona, provides a dream charter base for those to want to explore more, thanks to its extendable swim platform from where you can board either the 9m TechnoHull tender or the Mastercraft X20 for speedy expeditions.

On a BLEU DE NÎMES yacht charter, there are four tenders to choose from. Explore at a more tranquil pace on one of the stand-up paddleboards, or dive right in for some underwater exploration.

With a range of 5,400nm, AZTECA II yacht is a real go-anywhere yacht, plus comes with a trio of tenders for day trips and lots of water toys, including a laser sailboat, kiteboarding, and snorkelling equipment for surveying your charter ground above and below water.

Best yachts for island hopping

For a real treasure-island feeling, where the worries of work and everyday life will feel worlds away, you can’t beat chartering a yacht that will take you off-grid – or at least to the places only yachts can reach.

To explore Italy’s beautiful islands, book a charter aboard DEEP BLUE II, which also comes with zero speed stabilisers for added comfort for all those days at anchor.

The 31m Vripack yacht GALENA is small enough to access some of the bays that other yachts can only dream of, yet still finds space for a split-level sun deck.

GALENA also comes with high-quality silk-sprayed teak and walnut wood, which dampens vibration and reduces noise throughout, so as not to break that desert island illusion.

The Mediterranean is the world’s top charter destination, so if you want to be drinking sundowners on your sun deck as you gaze across azure seas this summer, then contact us to book now, before it’s too late.
