Among the many highlights of the past quarter is the landmark in-house sale of the 119m Feadship, BREAKTHROUGH – the most significant brokerage transaction in history. Not only is she the largest Feadship ever built and the largest yacht delivered in the Netherlands, but also the world’s first hydrogen fuel cell superyacht and the most advanced yacht ever brought to the brokerage market.
Chief Executive, Jamie Edmiston, who represented the seller throughout, comments: “Edmiston was there at the inception of BREAKTHROUGH, and we are proud to continue this legacy as we introduce BREAKTHROUGH to the broader market as the exclusive central agent for charter.”
Market outlook
On a broader industry level, yacht sales are up 9% year-on-year, reflecting a healthy recalibration and steady growth across the sector. Yet it is at the very top end of the market where Edmiston continues to lead. The average transaction value has risen to €21.2m, up from €16.9m last year — clear evidence of growing demand for the world’s most exceptional yachts.
Edmiston has dominated this segment, representing six of the seven largest yachts sold so far this year and securing an outstanding 60% market share of all deals over 65 metres. These results further underline our position at the forefront of the superyacht industry.
Expanding the fleet
Our sales success has been matched by significant growth within our fleet, with many important new Central Agency listings from pedigree shipyards, including the 107m Benetti, MAR, the 59m Vitters, MAXIUMS, the 51m Feadship, Promise., and the 50m Heesen Yachts, DAISY D.
Additionally, our charter fleet has expanded with several outstanding yachts joining the Edmiston portfolio, including the world’s most exclusive charter yacht, 119m Feadship, BREAKTHROUGH, the 65m Admiral, LIFE SAGA and the recently delivered Benetti Oasis 40M series, LIV LOVE. These additions reflect our continued commitment to providing clients with access to the finest yachts available anywhere in the world.
Monaco Yacht Show success
The Monaco Yacht Show once again proved to be a resounding success, with Edmiston presenting one of the most extensive fleets of motor and sailing yachts at the event. In total 18 yachts were available for viewing in the principality, with 8 yachts in the show, including 107m MAR, 90m NERO, 60m DREAM and 59m MAXIMUS.
Our presence in Monaco continues to set the tone for the season ahead, showcasing our capabilities on the global stage and reinforcing our commitment to offering clients an unmatched show experience through our events and activations.
Looking ahead
As we move into the final quarter, our focus turns to the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show – 29 October – 2 November – a key moment in the calendar that typically catalyses strong buyer and seller activity. With a number of deals currently in the pipeline, we anticipate a busy period that will carry momentum through to the close of the year.
Edmiston enters Q4 with confidence. With the market showing resilience, our fleet expanding, and a record year already established, we are well positioned to close 2025 on an unprecedented high.
