Palma Boat Show 2026: The start of the Mediterranean yachting season

Signalling the start of the Mediterranean yacht season, the Palma International Boat Show (PIBS) is a must-attend event for the international yachting community. Held from 29 April to 2 May 2026 in Marina Moll Vell, in the superyacht hub of Palma de Mallorca, PIBS 2026 will feature a spectacular lineup of luxury yachts alongside high-end services to cover all manner of yachting needs.

As a vibrant and historic ocean-front city that marks the entrypoint to the yachting playground of the Balearics, the Palma boat show attracts the cream of the marine world each year. With Edmiston on hand to make introductions and arrange VIP access, you can be assured you’ll be having the right conversations with the right people, whether you are looking to charter a yacht in the Mediterranean, looking for a new investment, or to buy or commission a new yacht.

What’s new at the Palma International Boat Show 2026

With around 30,000 visitors, 295 exhibitors and 300 yachts on display each year, the Palma boat show 2026 is one of the most prestigious events on the superyacht calendar.

In recent years, an expansion of the show’s superyacht offering has gone from strength to strength, with the new-look Superyacht Village, which replaced the former Palma Superyacht Show, a sensational magnet for superyacht fans.

As well as a stunning array of vessels over 24m to view – including yachts for sale in Palma de Mallorca and yachts for charter – superyacht enthusiasts can now stay on top of nautical trends with a visit to Superyacht Square. This hotbed of innovation sees daring start-ups and next-gen technology companies showcase how they are helping to reshape the future of yachting, with the focus this year expected to be on sustainable solutions. Meanwhile, the Refit and Repair Zone is an excellent resource for guests looking to upgrade their yacht or for those in need of superior yacht maintenance and lifecycle support.

Following its successful launch at the 2025 Palma Boat Show, the Superyacht New Build Hub will be back at the Club de Mar in 2026. Covering an area of 5,000 square metres and with 21 premium berths, the New Build Hub serves as a stage for large yacht construction. This is a thrilling part of the show, where you will find some of the world’s leading shipyards exhibiting alongside experienced naval architects and groundbreaking design studios. With game-changing concepts from some of the greatest minds in the marine world, this is a premium place to discuss ideas and get your dream yacht project off the ground.

Featured yachts at the Palma Superyacht Show 2026

Edmiston presents a strong fleet of five yachts at the Palma Superyacht Show 2026, spanning both the main show and the dedicated new build area. Unlike most other boat shows, around 50% of the yachts exhibited in Palma are sailing yachts. Alongside them, visitors can expect a considered selection of motor yachts, explorer yachts and superyachts.

Leading the sailing line up is 49.7m OHANA. Custom-built by Fitzroy Yachts and delivered in 2012, OHANA combines high-performance sailing with a refined cruising experience. She has been maintained to an exceptional standard by her original Owner and long-standing, award-winning crew, and is presented in immaculate condition.

She is joined by 47m ANDROMEDA LA DEA, a yacht that helped establish Perini Navi as a global name in superyachting. Originally launched in 1990, she has recently undergone a comprehensive, no-expense-spared refit and was recommissioned in January 2026, presenting as a yacht of enduring pedigree with renewed capability.

Also on display is 43m CANOVA, delivered by Baltic Yachts in 2019. A highly capable bluewater cruiser, she is defined by her light displacement performance, ease of handling and considered onboard living. CANOVA is offered for sale in turnkey condition.

Completing the sailing line-up is 25m INVICTUS from Nautor Swan. One of the final Swan 77s designed by German Frers, she combines proven sailing pedigree with a practical, well-balanced layout, including four ensuite cabins.

Representing the motor yacht side of our business, the 2015 34m custom-built displacement yacht SOLIS, from Mulder Shipyard, will be showing off her clean lines and turnkey condition in Palma this spring. Her near-vertical bow and gently curved lines are sure to draw admiring glances when she goes on display.

Luxury yacht charter opportunities in Palma

With a prime Balearics location that allows easy access to the four main islands of Ibiza, Formentera, Menorca, and Mallorca, Palma is the perfect place to begin a luxury Mediterranean yacht charter.

Edmiston has a fine fleet of vessels available to charter in this sun-kissed part of the Mediterranean, plus a team of seasoned charter experts who can help you plan the ultimate Balearics yacht charter

The Balearics is a perennially popular cruising ground for very good reason. Its mix of historic towns, chic beach clubs, fashionable resorts, and secret anchorages means you can strike an ideal balance between late-night parties and peaceful days by the pool. It’s also supremely well facilitated, with good marina access and plenty of deep anchorages for days and nights when you’d rather not see anyone else.

Yacht charters in the Balearics invariably set off from Palma, so make sure to take the time to explore the old town and the shopping avenue of Passeig del Born before embarking.

Mallorca is also the indisputable gastronomy heartland of the Balearics with more Michelin stars than any others, and while Palma has its fair share of revered restaurants, for a real treat, head to the island’s more rugged west coast and the village of Deià.

This bohemian enclave in the Serra de Tramunta Mountains is renowned for its rustic food and stunning sea and mountain terraces, such as the extraordinary scenes that await at El Olivio at Belmond La Residencia

From Mallorca, the itinerary naturally extends across the Balearics. Ibiza offers a more vibrant, social atmosphere, while Menorca and Formentera provide a quieter counterpoint, defined by unspoilt landscapes and a more relaxed pace. Whatever you are seeking from your luxury yacht charter in the Balearics Islands, our in-the-know charter teams can plan a bespoke route to suit.
