Constructed using cored composites of glass, Kevlar and carbon fibre, the hull is designed for strength, reduced weight and offshore performance. Garlington’s use of Corecell foam and a vacuum lay-up process enhances durability, while the cored construction supports a quieter, more consistent ride and limits long-term water absorption.

Powered by twin MTU 16V 2000 engines, each delivering 2,600hp, QUEEN BEE reaches a top speed of 45 knots and cruises at 38 knots. A gyro stabiliser enhances comfort underway, while her 4,000-gallon fuel capacity supports extended range. With a length of 71’, beam of 20’ and draft of 5’, she is well suited to both tournament fishing and longer offshore passages.
