PELORUS stands as one of the most recognisable superyachts ever delivered. Built by Lürssen in 2003, she spans 115m with a volume of 5,403GT and represents Northern European pedigree at its most refined. She offers immediate access to a platform that would command a replacement cost in excess of €500 million, with new build delivery timelines extending to 2033.
With exteriors designed by Tim Heywood and interiors by Terence Disdale, she balances bold architectural form with a calm, residential atmosphere. Extensively maintained through major refits in 2008 and 2017, with further works completed through 2025 aligned with class survey requirements, she presents in strong condition. She holds clean ABS class status with no outstanding recommendations, with her survey cycle aligned through to 2030, and remains a proven platform for global cruising.
Full Description
Exterior Design & Engineering
PELORUS is a full displacement motor yacht defined by Tim Heywood’s sweeping, balanced profile. Her long, confident lines and layered decks give her both presence and proportion, while her steel hull and aluminium superstructure provide the strength and stability expected of a yacht designed for serious passage making.
Powered by twin 5,300hp Wärtsilä diesel engines, she reaches a top speed of 20 knots and cruises between 16-18 knots. At an economical speed of 16 knots, she delivers a transoceanic range of 6,000 nautical miles, allowing for extended itineraries without compromise. Two sets of Quantum zero speed stabilisers ensure comfort both underway and at anchor, reinforcing her credentials as a true world cruiser.
Amenities
Life onboard PELORUS is defined by scale, flow and versatility across every deck. The sun deck is designed as a private retreat, centred around a large swimming pool with counter-current jets, complemented by a jacuzzi, bar and open-air dining area. It is a space that moves easily from daytime relaxation to evening entertaining.
The Owner’s deck offers a high degree of privacy. A forward helipad connects via a companionway to a secluded private terrace, creating a discreet point of arrival. Outside, a forward seating area extends from the master cabin, while the aft deck provides additional private outdoor space. Inside, the Owner’s suite is elevated to take full advantage of the views, complemented by a private lounge and study, creating a self-contained retreat.
The upper deck features a generous aft deck, complete with alfresco dining and lounge areas beneath the overhang, with open deck space for larger gatherings. Inside, the panoramic sky lounge features a substantial bar, relaxed seating and a large screen. Integrated lighting and sound systems allow the space to transition into a nightclub, complete with an illuminated dancefloor, while forward a tiered cinema delivers a fully immersive viewing experience.
The main deck is centred around a large aft deck, arranged for open-air dining and relaxed seating with a direct connection to the sea. Inside, the main salon provides a generous lounge space, while forward the formal dining room offers a more private setting, both benefiting from strong natural light and access to the exterior.
The lower deck aft is devoted to wellness. A fully equipped gym opens onto its own sea terrace, accompanied by a massage room, treatment room, hair salon, steam room, plunge pool and dedicated relaxation area. Throughout the yacht, an elevator connects all guest decks from the lower level to the sun deck, ensuring seamless access for all generations.
Interior Design
Terence Disdale’s interior design for PELORUS takes its cues from a refined beachside residence. Warm timber finishes are paired with soft creams, leather detailing and subtle industrial elements, creating an atmosphere that feels both structured and inviting. Geometric forms and layered textures bring depth without excess, allowing each space to feel composed and liveable.
Accommodation is arranged for up to 24 guests across 12 cabins. The Owner’s deck is entirely private, centred around a full-beam master suite with approximately 200-degree views. This is complemented by an expansive bathroom, dressing room, private lounge, study and dedicated butler’s cabin.
The remaining guest accommodation comprises 11 cabins, all with ensuite facilities. On the upper deck, there is a VIP suite with a queen-size bed and dressing room, alongside an additional double cabin. The main deck hosts two double cabins, while the lower deck includes three twin cabins, each configured with two double beds, and four further double cabins. Further accommodation is available for a crew of up to 47 + 10 staff.

PELORUS yacht for sale carries an extensive inventory of tenders and water sports equipment, reflecting her capability as a global platform for exploration.
